Yoga in the Lavender is back! An absolutely gorgeous place to practice yoga, either in the sunshine or in the shade.
Bring your yoga mat or a towel. The view and connection with nature promises to nurture your practice. No experience is necessary, class is designed to be accessible to all.
Be aware that classes will be held outdoors on uneven ground. Lavender attracts bees – if you are allergic to bees, it is recommended you attend a different class with Amanda. We are in nature which means bugs. Please remember you are in their home and be a nice guest.
If it rains, we will move into the barn this year! It is beautiful in the barn. Drying lavender line the walls!!
$20 for Single Class* – Payable via Cash or Venmo (@powerfulchild – Amanda Will).
*Registration not required.

Thank you so much for coming to our class! I loved hearing how to organically incorporate mindfulness with kiddos and how child-friendly techniques can be accommodated for adults. This is going to be so helpful as a clinician and also (hopefully) as a parent (one day)! Your energy is fantastic.Anonymous
Thank you so much Amanda for coming to the mindfulness workshop! I really enjoyed the words of affirmation exercise. Not only is it important for kids to practice this I think adults need it as well. I will definitely use this in my internship and personal life ☺Anonymous
Thanks so so much! I cant speak for everyone but I truly believe we all were so happy to have you come in today to share a bit about your experiences with youth and mindfulness! I will certainly cater some of your exercises in my work with high school students. Working in a Philadelphia public school almost all of the students have adverse childhood experiences, so I particularly appreciated that!Anonymous

Thank you so much for joining our mindfulness workshop! I cannot wait to incorporate the mindfulness exercises we learned with my clients in session. Thank you so much for coming to class and teaching about mindfulness. I loved the activities and learned so much about how to implement them. I really enjoyed the analogy of making a new path through the forest. I also like your explanation that mindfulness is awareness.Anonymous
Amanda, Your energy, enthusiasm, and insight are amazing. I really appreciated you focusing on the intersection of mindfulness with various populations and drawing on research/experience with trauma-informed mindfulness. I am so intrigued by story-based mindfulness and cannot wait to buy a copy of your book for my 3 year old nephew. Thank you so much for your tremendous work and willingness to share it with us.Ang

Hi Amanda, I was present for Dr. Schmidt's Mindfulness class on February 6th. Your segment was un and great to be apart of. your genuine enthusiasm and interest in Mindfulness is obvious and refreshing. Thank you for your time and efforts.Mike Kearney
I think my biggest takeaway from this entire workshop is how unique and individualized mindfulness is to each person and you really highlighted that idea. Thank you so much for sharing! I am excited to incorporate mindfulness, even if it just small amounts, into my own life and those around me.Anon
Thank you, Amanda, for coming to inspire our class through both "uncomfortable" and enriching activities! I hope to implement what I have learned to my everyday life going forward! Stay safe. ThanksMadeleine
My daughter had a medical and mental health crisis about a year and a half ago. Of all of the treatments she has received in this time, including psychotherapy, group therapy, physical therapy, acupuncture, a multitude of specialists and medications, my daughter feels that it was Amanda’s gentle teaching and guidance that pulled her out of a really dark place. I can only give thanks every day for the miracles Amanda has created with her teaching, but above all her loving kindness.Robin Taylor 1:1 yoga/meditation classes
I am extremely thankful that we've been able to continue to practice virtually. It was an adjustment but one that I have fully embraced. I feel mindful and connected, and I don't bother anyone when I laugh out loud something funny you said. I know that breathing together is integral to yoga and I think you have successfully achieved and continued that connection. You have enabled us to create a community! Thank you!D.M. In just a short amount of time, you truly had an enormous impact on these graduate students and they are trying to integrate some of your practices with their students AND themselves. Thank you for all that you do!Chris -Department of Education & Counseling Villanova University Mindfulness in Schools Presentation
I have reflected on your positive comments, made during yoga exercises, several times already this week. Thank you so much for that. As women, but all people, need to hear affirmations. I am grateful for my time in your class.Stephanie Monday Night
